Central Depository is a National Institution of Systemic Importance, by Presidential Decree

Backed by the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic and a large number of securities market participants, the Central Depository is a strategic pillar supporting the infrastructure of the country’s securities market.

Founded in 1997, the Central Depository holds a professional securities market participant license for depository activities (No. 127), granted on April 20, 1998, by the National Commission on the Securities Market under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Initially, the Central Depository catered to foreign investors, facilitating the transfer and management of Kyrgyz issuer-resident securities. By 1998, it expanded its clientele to include numerous brokerage firms active on the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange. Today, our clients encompass leading brokerage firms, commercial banks, investment funds, and significant foreign investors within the Kyrgyz Republic’s financial market.
